About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Data Scientist to join our team at Siemens Financial Services GmbH. As a key member of our Strategic Development department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the digitalization and innovation journey of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to AI use cases at an early maturity level within the SFS Discovery Lab
  • Work closely with partners to identify key business problems and translate their requirements into AI-driven solutions
  • Develop and implement machine learning models and apply pretrained (Gen)AI models via API to extract valuable insights from structured and unstructured data
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, spotting potential for innovation and differentiation in the financial market
  • Support SFS businesses and functions to understand how they can use (Gen)AI to tackle their challenges
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent experience in statistics, data science, computer science, or a related technical field
  • Experience as an AI consultant with a client-first approach, working closely with non-technical partners
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in ML solution development, preferably in the financial sector or within consulting
  • Profound experience in Python, using libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, or similar frameworks
  • Experience with GenAI and LLMs is considered a plus
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions, such as AzureML, Document Intelligence, or container orchestration using Kubernetes for deploying applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to handle diverse partners in an empathic manner
  • Experience in project management within an international environment is desirable
