Material Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Scientist to join our team at one.fıve, a company dedicated to reducing single-use plastic impact on our planet. As a key member of our Research and Development team, you will play a crucial role in developing sustainable, high-performance, and cost-effective fibre-based packaging prototypes.
Key responsibilities include designing and executing experiments in the lab, collaborating with our R&D Operations team to create and test prototypes, and working closely with the data team to enable data-driven decision-making. You will also provide critical domain expertise to support the development of key data models, aimed at accelerating innovation and reducing costs.

Key Responsibilities- Design and execute experiments in the lab to develop sustainable packaging solutions
- Collaborate with the R&D Operations team to create and test prototypes
- Work closely with the data team to enable data-driven decision-making
- Provide critical domain expertise to support the development of key data models
- Conduct necessary monitoring and reporting to ensure the successful completion of prototypes
- Identify and facilitate the transfer of promising technologies from public and private research centres to the market
- Deliver comprehensive reports and recommendations based on internal and external data
- Strong wet lab skills and experience in designing and executing experiments
- High level of data literacy and ability to work closely with the data team
- Extensive commercial industrial experience in applied Material Science
- Fluency in English, as this is our working language
- Fluency in German, a bonus, to communicate with customers and external partners
