Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented research assistant to contribute to our research project focused on humanitarian operations. This short-term role involves critical data collection and analysis to support ongoing research efforts.

Your Responsibilities

  • Access and review data from a specified humanitarian operations website.
  • Identify and document disasters classified under the "yellow" category.
  • Record relevant disaster data in an Excel file and match them with corresponding codes from another website.
  • Verify if a final report is available for each correlated disaster and extract the total cost from these reports.
  • Organize and save the final reports in designated folders for further analysis.

Your Qualifications

  • Academic Background: Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with online data platforms.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously collect, record, and verify data.
  • Availability: Must be available to commit to the project for 20-30 hours over a period of one to two weeks.
