Job Summary
Intertek, a leading industry expert, is seeking a skilled Freelance Inspector for Mechanical Equipment to join our team. As a Freelance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of rotating equipment and other mechanical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of rotating equipment and other mechanical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Review assignment instructions for adequacy and practicality, and attend pre-production and other meetings as required.
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to determine inspection stages and requirements.
- Inspect drawings, designs, and specifications for piping, valves, pressure vessels, and other relevant mechanical equipment.
- Visit manufacturers, suppliers, installers, and other relevant parties to perform or witness inspections.
- Provide timely reports of inspections performed or witnessed.
- Ensure all inspection and related activities are performed in accordance with Intertek's work instructions and procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, such as manufacturing or construction.
- Relevant educational qualifications, such as a university degree or national higher education.
- Valid driver's license and good communication skills.
- Language capability in English is mandatory.
- Preferred qualifications include European Welding Engineer or National equivalent, ISO 9712 or ASNT qualifications, NACE CIP Level 2 or FROSIO, and ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor.
