As a Quality Engineering Manager at Applied Materials, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with our engineering team to develop and implement quality control measures, drive supplier excellence, and lead the creation and implementation of quality control measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical and personnel management of the Quality Engineering Division
  • Establish close collaboration with other departments, define clear handshakes, responsibilities, and flawless execution
  • Leading the creation and implementation of quality control measures
  • Planning and implementation of measures for continuous quality improvements
  • Reporting of quality-relevant key figures to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with the customer and company's quality procedures, standards, and specifications
  • Establishing quality standards in accordance with Applied Materials QMS and AOP
  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, optical, industrial), or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain management in a complex technical environment
  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a team leader or supervisor would be an advantage
  • Green or Black Belt / Lean Six Sigma experience including tooling (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D)
  • Experience in managing supplier on quality performance, preferably in complex high-tech industry
  • Experience in quality improvement & operational excellence in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in complex work environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in building and maintaining strategic relations with suppliers
  • Deep understanding and experience with Quality Management Systems and Tools
  • Willingness to travel (at least 10%) and explore Applied Materials
