Join Our Team as a Student Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to contribute to the development and improvement of our data visualization tool, 'vini'. This position will involve assisting in the enhancement of the vini viewer, implementing new features, testing and debugging the software, documenting the code, and providing support for users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and enhancement of the vini viewer
  • Implement new features and improve functionality
  • Test and debug the software to ensure robust performance
  • Document the code and usage instructions
  • Provide support for users of the software

Your Profile:

  • Enrollment in a relevant field of study such as computer science, biomedical engineering, cognitive science, neuroscience, or a comparable field
  • Proficiency in Python programming including experience with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib
  • Experience with GUI development using PyQt
  • Experience with Python bindings for C and C++ (e.g., sip, Cython, pybind11) is an advantage but not required
  • Basic understanding of MRI data formats (e.g.,.nii,, ) is an advantage but not required
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical tools and concepts
