Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the operations of our Bistro within a retail store. The Bistro, located in a busy city center, offers both indoor and outdoor dining with approximately 50 seats. Our goal is to provide a fresh and diverse menu focusing on regional, ecological, and sustainable ingredients.

Your main objective will be to train and support long-term unemployed individuals in gaining practical experience for successful integration into the job market. You will be responsible for teaching food preparation techniques, managing sales processes, and coordinating with social workers to achieve our mission of promoting social impact through gastronomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs for food preparation skills
  • Oversee sales and production processes to ensure efficient operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service and manage food and beverage service
  • Collaborate with social workers to assess participants' qualifications and document results
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with industry standards
Requirements
  • Certified in Gastronomy, Restaurant Management, or Culinary Arts
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Driver's license a plus
  • Commitment to the values of the Evangelical Church and Diakonie
