Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Job Description

This role involves responsibility for operational planning, organization, and execution of events and competitions in the Maritime sector. You will work closely with specialist departments, considering technological and commercial aspects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and advising customers as the first point of contact, monitoring costs, time, workload, and scope
  • Developing major single events and series by extending and enhancing services for customers in collaboration with the sales team
  • Contributing innovation and improvements to expand the service portfolio and quality in cooperation with development teams
  • Controlling operational implementation and preparing reports and documentation throughout the project process
  • Leading by example, overseeing the project team on site and coordinating external staff and service providers
  • Exchanging with other programme directors on synergies and administrative organizational topics

You will ensure a high level of quality within the team and towards all parties involved.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A successfully completed apprenticeship, university degree, or comparable relevant professional experience in the industry
  • A technical background in media, industrial engineering, or electrical engineering
  • Several years of professional experience as a programme manager with overall responsibility in the event industry within an international environment, plus live broadcast experience including on-air responsibility
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including building and managing relationships effectively both internally and externally
  • Good knowledge of methodological techniques for project planning and management
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • A willingness to travel frequently internationally
