Riedel Communications is a leading provider of live production tools in the media, sports, and entertainment sectors. To cater to our customers' diverse needs, we operate three business units: Product Division, Managed Technology & Riedel Networks.

Our Managed Technology division offers a comprehensive service from project planning to on-site implementation, renting out audio, video, IT, and communication solutions for international live events. This includes festivals like Rock am Ring, sporting events like Formula 1 and the Super Bowl, and guaranteeing an exceptional experience for all guests.

To strengthen our team in Project Management, we are seeking an experienced and well-connected Programme Director (m/f/d) - Maritime.

With our cutting-edge technologies and solutions, we support events on land, water, and air, including international sailing and water sports competitions like the Americas Cup or SailGP.

These high-profile sailing competitions take place in renowned harbors worldwide, such as Sydney or San Francisco. Our services range from sports-critical systems like communication for athletes, coaches, and officials to essential broadcast elements like camera boats, helicopters, replay solutions, and more for on-site and remote production.

We operate complex wireless and fiber-based media networks for all disciplines, offshore, onshore, and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational planning, organization, and execution of events and competitions in the Maritime sector, in close cooperation with our specialist departments, considering all technological and commercial aspects.
  • Support and advise customers independently as the first point of contact, observing costs, time, workload, and scope.
  • Systematic development of major single events and series by extending and enhancing our services for customers in cooperation with our sales team.
  • Contribution of innovation and improvements to continuously expand the service portfolio and service quality in cooperation with our development teams.
  • Control of the operational implementation and preparation of reports and documentation throughout the entire project process.
  • Lead by example - overall responsibility of the project team on site as well as coordination of external staff and service providers.
  • Exchange with other programme directors on synergies and administrative to organisational topics.
  • Ensuring a high level of quality within the team and towards all parties involved.

Requirements:

  • Industry-specific successfully completed apprenticeship, a university degree, or comparable relevant professional experience.
  • Technical background, e.g. in media, industrial engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Several years of professional experience as a programme manager with overall responsibility in the event industry within an international environment, plus live broadcast experience including on-air responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to build and manage relationships effectively, both internally and externally.
  • Good knowledge of methodological techniques for project planning and management.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • Willingness to travel very frequently/intensively internationally.
