Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer to join our innovative team and contribute to cutting-edge research and development in adaptive optics technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop production tools for our new product line on adaptive optics technology;
  • Collaborate with the IMTEK of the University of Freiburg on technology development tasks;
  • Investigate market opportunities, prepare and accompany market launches, and support early customers.
Requirements
  • MS/PhD in engineering or a related field, or 5+ years related experience, particularly in mechanical/optomechanical/electronics engineering;
  • Background in technical product development and new product introduction;
  • Experience with development of production systems, manufacturing automation, and robotics;
  • Knowledge of production tooling UX/UI programming;
  • Good proficiency of English and eligibility to work in Germany.
Desirable Skills
  • Background in material sciences or optofluidics;
  • Experience in production outsourcing;
  • Experience with clean-room and microfabrication;
  • Knowledge of adaptive optics;
  • Product management experience;
  • Entrepreneurial / startup experience or spirit.
