Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Germany - Bonn | Köln. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our IT network infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT support team and contribute to various projects. You will be part of a highly motivated IT team in a rapidly growing, globally established company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain our hybrid cloud network infrastructure within various projects.
  • Design, implement, and support hybrid cloud connectivity for multi-site enterprise networks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for network-related devices and services.
  • Perform routine maintenance, lifecycle management, and daily administration of network systems and services.
  • Implement solutions using established industry and security best practices.
  • Monitor systems and services and respond to escalation cases.
  • Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Regularly contribute to technical and process-related documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies in the industry.
  • Act as a mentor for less experienced IT colleagues.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree and have at least 5 years of experience in an enterprise network environment (1000+ users).
  • Have extensive experience with network technologies (e.g., VPN, WAN, SD-WAN, SASE, LAN, VLAN, WLAN) and advanced knowledge of firewall technologies and secure network infrastructure solutions.
  • Be familiar with network routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and have practical experience in IT project management.
  • Have expertise in designing and configuring Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoutes, VPN Gateways, etc.
  • Be familiar with implementing established industry standards for network technologies.
  • Have experience in designing, deploying, and supporting complex systems and be proficient in using network tools (WireShark, Solarwinds, Nagios, etc.).
  • Have initiative, excellent time management and organizational skills, and convincing communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to work independently as well as in an international team.
  • Be able to configure technical settings and process documentation without any issues.
  • Have negotiation-proof English.
