Senior Network Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Simon-Kucher & Partners. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our hybrid-cloud network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy hybrid-cloud multi-site enterprise connectivity solutions
  • Implement industry and security best practices for networking technologies
  • Perform maintenance, lifecycle, and daily administration of networking systems and services
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, escalating incidents as necessary
  • Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for networking systems and services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices
  • Mentor less experienced IT colleagues and contribute to their professional development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking environments
  • Extensive experience with networking technologies, including VPN, WAN, SD-WAN, SASE, LAN, VLAN, and WLAN
  • Advanced knowledge of firewall technologies and secure network infrastructure solutions
  • Expertise in network routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
  • Hands-on experience with IT project management and design, deployment, and support of complex systems
  • Proficiency with network tools, including WireShark, Solarwinds, and Nagios
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, time management, and organizational skills, along with effective written and spoken communication
  • Ability to document technical configurations and processes and work well independently and as part of a diverse, international team
  • Business fluency in English
