About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team at Amazon Deutschland S12 Transport GmbH. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a large and diverse team, ensuring that our business area is always in line with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Foster a culture of safety and well-being, and provide guidance and support to your team members to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure consistently high quality and productivity, and ensure that all company goals are met across shifts.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other managers to standardize shift processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Optimize Processes and Services: Analyze performance data and make recommendations for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
A Day in the Life

You will work in various shifts at one of our operational sites, focusing on maintaining safety standards and process efficiency. Your priorities will include routine team management, daily operations, and addressing escalations as needed. You will also be responsible for process improvements, business continuity planning, and collaborating with colleagues from other teams and external partners to ensure we meet customer and company requirements.

About the Team

The Customer Fulfillment (CF) team is the foundation of our business, responsible for fulfilling customer orders. Our team has evolved from a small group of book sellers to a global team that processes over 1.5 million orders daily. We are constantly exploring ways to offer a wider range of products, delivered quickly and affordably, using emerging technologies. As a CF team member, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive their orders with the speed and reliability they expect.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or near completion of a Bachelor's program
  • Language Skills: Advanced English and German language skills, both written and spoken
  • Experience: Relevant experience in data analysis and logistics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Communication Skills: Experience communicating with various stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership
  • Logistics Experience: Experience working in a logistics environment
  • MS Office Skills: Experience working with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting
