About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Master Student in Robotics and Mechatronics to join our team at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR). As a key member of our Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, you will contribute to the development of innovative technologies that improve human-robot interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a concept for transferring an existing graphical user interface into a mixed-reality interface for robotic teleoperation
  • Implement and test the concept in a prototypical application using C# and Unity
  • Conduct a user study to evaluate the effectiveness of the mixed-reality interface
Requirements
  • Profound knowledge in programming with C# and Unity
  • Experience with Mixed-Reality software development and State-of-the-Art frameworks, e.g. MRTK or XR Interaction Toolkit
  • Basic knowledge about 3D-modeling and robotics, especially robotic middleware, e.g. ROS
