Senior Financial Reporting Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Group Financial Reporting Expert to join our team at ZEAL Network SE. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on financial reporting and accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements under IFRS and/or HGB
  • Support the external audit of the ZEAL Group and coordinate other audits as necessary
  • Review and ensure the effectiveness of complex end-to-end processes to address financial reporting risks
  • Review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and ensure adequate documentation and challenge assumptions
  • Prepare and review documentation related to reporting treatment and accounting matters
  • Support the ongoing improvement of our internal control structure and finance processes
  • Partner with other finance teams to implement IFRS and/or HGB accounting changes
  • Provide financial analysis and act as a sparring partner to other teams to meet company-focused goals

Requirements

  • 3+ years of audit experience in a Big4 or Next10 accounting firm
  • Good knowledge of group accounting according to IFRS and the German commercial code (HGB)
  • Experience in complex systems and processes, ideally in an e-commerce setting
  • Ability to analyze numbers and data and interact with people
  • Independent, reliable, and conscientious work style
  • MS Office skills, with knowledge of Business Central, Tagetik, and/or Lucanet a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German
