About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Metal Valorisation and Spent Catalyst Manager to join our team at Evonik. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships in EMEA, valorising metal-containing catalysts, and selling spent catalysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to acquire new customers and expand existing relationships in EMEA
- Manage the valorisation of metal-containing catalysts and the sale of spent catalysts
- Negotiate supply contracts and long-term agreements, and manage purchase and sale prices
- Optimise catalyst and spent catalyst sales, and attend trade fairs and conferences
- Manage notification procedures for metal-containing spent catalyst from customers, including creating, reviewing, and negotiating notification contracts between customers and Evonik
- Coordinate externally for waste transportation across the EU with external partners and internal with several departments, including sales, ESHQ, Supply Chain Management, and the production plant
- Conduct internal training sessions
- Develop new waste transportation concepts within and outside the EU
Requirements
- Hold a degree in environmental management, chemistry, business, or a related field
- Have several years of professional experience in catalyst trading and/or spent catalyst management
- Be business fluent in French, English, and German
- Have strong negotiation and excellent communication skills, as well as intercultural competence
- Have analytical thinking and a passion for innovation
- Be willing to travel for trade fairs and customer visits
