Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our platform team at Aroundhome. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving new ideas, initiatives, and their implementation to enhance our developer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve product delivery at Aroundhome by prioritizing the developer experience and reducing unnecessary cognitive load.
  • Envision and build easy-to-use tooling and tech stacks that cater to developers' needs and pain points.
  • Transform the classical platform team into a product delivery team that works for our internal tech customers.
  • Maintain and leverage the advantages of the cloud to drive innovation.
  • Evaluate innovative approaches to stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements
  • Passionate and experienced Platform Engineer or cloud-affine software developer with a focus on developer experience, agile software practices, and conscious experimentation.
  • Engineering background (ideally with Go, Ruby, or Typescript) to connect with developers and understand their needs.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with cloud environments (AWS), container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker), and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies (Terraform).
  • Familiarity with logging-, monitoring-, and alerting solutions, such as DataDog & Linux/Unix.
  • Passionate about ensuring developers have the right tools, processes, and environment to maximize productivity.
