Sales Representative Air and Sea Freight

About the Role:

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Sales Representative Air and Sea Freight to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our major customers in the air and sea freight industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new customers and expand existing customer relationships in a defined sales area
  • Create, process, and coordinate offers and tenders in coordination with the respective departments
  • Ensure the documentation of all sales activities and business potential, progress, and success in the CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Collaborate with support functions and operational units
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and other business gatherings

Requirements:

  • Completed commercial training, ideally as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, with appropriate additional qualifications or further training
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in field sales in the logistics industry
  • Product and market knowledge in the areas of air and sea freight
  • Market and competitive knowledge in your own sales area desirable
  • Confident handling of common MS Office applications, as well as experience with CRM systems
  • Very good knowledge of German and good English, both spoken and written
  • Team-oriented, yet independent, very structured working style
  • Negotiation skills and persuasiveness with a high degree of customer and solution orientation
  • Good presentation skills combined with a confident and authoritative demeanor
