Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and arrange dishes in the show galley, adhering to A-ROSA's high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Assist with setting up and removing buffets, juice stations, bread stations, and cleaning these areas to maintain a high level of hygiene and organization.
  • Follow A-ROSA's standard recipes in the cookbook, ensuring consistency and accuracy in food preparation.
  • Comply with personal hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Provide exceptional service at special events, ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.
  • Assist with daily changes of buffet decoration, maintaining a visually appealing and inviting atmosphere.
  • Assist with providing crew breakfast, lunch, and dinner as needed, ensuring a well-stocked and organized galley.
  • Mise-en-place and assist in all areas of the kitchen as needed, supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional results.
  • Maintain hygiene throughout the work area, adhering to A-ROSA's high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Work in the main kitchen when required, supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional results.
  • Assist with preparatory work for the show galley, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Comply with uniform code in public and non-public areas, maintaining a professional and respectful appearance.
  • Assist with loading and help carry suitcases, supporting the crew in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation.

Requirements

  • Completion of vocational training as a chef, with a strong foundation in culinary arts and techniques.
  • At least six months of work experience, preferably in a similar role or on board a ship.
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Product knowledge that meets international standards, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency in food preparation.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Health certificate for the gastronomy sector, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
