Aircraft Quality Control Specialist

About the Role:
">We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Amentum. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our aircraft systems, while also collaborating with customers and internal teams to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain quality control programs and procedures to ensure compliance with customer specifications and military publications.">
- Inspect and test complex aircraft mechanical and electromechanical systems to identify defects and recommend repairs or modifications.">
- Approve or reject work accomplished by field team members to ensure adherence to technical data and customer requirements.">
- Analyze defects and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.">
- Monitor safety, training, and certification requirements to ensure compliance and provide guidance to team members.">
- Conduct daily work site safety inspections and foreign object damage inspections to prevent accidents and injuries.">
- Maintain records and documentation to track quality control activities, defect analysis, and safety monitoring.">
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.">
Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.">
- At least 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, quality control, or a related field, with a strong background in inspection and testing.">
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate or equivalent required.">
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 (Public Trust).">
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.">
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
