At KION Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Data Management team as Lead Data Management - Material Master (f/m/d) at our Frankfurt Headquarter.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Master Data Management, data governance, and data quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring the Data Owners or Sub-Owners in the Material Master cluster, overseeing data quality management activities, and providing functional expertise to define data models, governance, processes, and data quality rules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the Material Master data cluster's strategy, objectives, and implementation plan.
  • Lead and mentor the Data Owners or Sub-Owners in the Material Master cluster, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure that data objects are properly defined, following standards and policies across the organization.
  • Provide functional expertise to define data models, governance, processes, harmonization, and data quality rules.
  • Oversee Data Quality Management activities for all data objects within the Material Master cluster, providing guidance on prioritization and metrics.
Requirements:
  • A degree in business administration, business informatics, engineering, or comparable studies with several years of professional experience in a leadership role.
  • Relevant experience in a Master Data Management-oriented role in a technical and commercial context.
  • In-depth knowledge of (SAP) Data model, industry-leading Data Quality and Data Management practices, especially in Material Master data objects.
  • Highly skilled in change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change, and performance measurement system design.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on details and problem-solving competence.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior-level management from technology and business in an international and intercultural environment.
