Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at GDIT. As a key member of our enterprise IT team, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining computerized databases to support our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Database Design and Development: Participate in the design, creation, and maintenance of computerized databases to ensure accurate and efficient data management.
- Quality Control and Auditing: Responsible for the quality control and auditing of databases to ensure compliance with organizational requirements and industry standards.
- Database Administration: Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security, availability, and integrity of the Database Management System (DBMS).
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with management, users, and other stakeholders to develop database strategies, resolve data conflicts, and provide expert advice on database access and usage.
- Education: Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience or Master's degree with 10 years of experience.
- Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance required.
- Preferred Skillset:
- Experience with MSSQL Server 2012, 2017, and newer.
- Experience identifying and resolving database problems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Service Manager.
- Self-motivated, highly organized individual with ability to proactively identify problems, meet deadlines, work with various application managers, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Familiarity with SolarWinds DPA.
- Effective communication skills.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Required Certification(s):
- DoD M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract.
- IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
- Required Computing Environment certification: MCSE Data Management and Analytics [MS SQL Server] Exam or Exam 70-464, or Exam 70-465, or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
- Competitive Salary: Salary range: $154,960 - $65,686.
