Job Title: Global Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Engineering Manager to join our team at Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel. As a key member of our onshore renewable energy business, you will be responsible for leading the engineering efforts for our PV projects in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies for PV projects, focusing on energy assessment, design, feasibility, and engineering issues.
  • Support the development and early-stage projects with conceptual designs, analyzing sites to design and build PV plants.
  • Develop solar PV design packages, including solar array layouts, electrical one-lines, collection systems, and equipment mounting details for utility-scale solar PV systems.
  • Take engineering lead on solar-specific projects, including bid development, contract review, progress tracking, and interdepartmental coordination.
  • Supervise EPC works, focusing on engineering issues, and support the implementation of new trends in PV plants, such as batteries and hybrid solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or similar, and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or similar.
  • At least 5 years' experience in engineering of photovoltaic projects in Germany.
  • Experience with PVSYST software, and experience in batteries projects is a plus.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in getting through Germany Administration licensing process for renewable projects is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in working with international project teams in diverse and often complex working environments is a plus.
  • Desirable solar PV plants design and optimization software, solar PV modelling software, MS Project, MS Office, AutoCad, and GIS.
Language Requirements:
  • German (full professional competence).
  • English (full professional competence).
  • Spanish will be positively considered.
