About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Operations Manager to join our team at Innomotics GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and continuous improvement of our global Service Desk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Desk Management: Ensure the Service Desk meets the needs of our users and aligns with business objectives.
  • Service Provider Management: Manage the Service Desk service provider, ensuring high-quality support for all IT-related incidents and service requests.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with central and local IT teams and service providers to develop strategies for improving user support and enhancing the overall user experience.
  • Upgrade and Patching: Coordinate and drive the necessary upgrade and patching activities in collaboration with solution suppliers and consulting partners.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and validate the performance of the Service Desk environment, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Process Validation: Verify and validate support processes and documentation against business requirements and standards.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Participate in the exchange of experiences with other IT experts and organize the transfer of know-how within the global organization.
  • Financial Management: Understand and own the financial aspects of Service Desk, including budgeting and cost management.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in IT support and service desk management, with a strong understanding of IT service management processes.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of incident management, request fulfillment, and problem management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in international teams and showcase intercultural competence.
  • Language Skills: Very good, business fluent English, with German or another language relevant to Innomotics GmbH (Czech, Chinese, Spanish) being an asset.
