Director of Laboratory Operations

CSL Plasma GmbH is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Associate Director, Laboratory Operations to lead our Central Laboratory in Göttingen. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, and driving a culture of excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Sample Management: Develop and implement plans to ensure timely receipt, testing, and release of samples in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive work environment by providing regular feedback, coaching, and developing staff through training and development programs.
- Infrastructure Development: Lead and coordinate projects to improve laboratory infrastructure and facilities, focusing on growth, automation, and continuous improvement using Lean Management principles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, HR, Finance, QA/Compliance, Engineering Services, and other corporate functions on initiatives that impact the business.
- University Degree in Business or Science
- Masters Degree in Sciences preferred
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in laboratory management, leading personnel, and working within matrixed organizations
- Lean Management
- Quality and GMP skills
- Good IT skills
- Cost awareness
- Fluent in German and English
