Research Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at the University of Bremen. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on large-scale geophysical climate models, with a particular emphasis on subgrid-scale models and subgrid parametrizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the research group in developing and expanding the research focus
  • Support the research group with the organization of workshops and conferences
  • Support organizational tasks of the TRR
  • Teach courses in the subject mathematics
Requirements:
  • Completed scientific university degree (master's degree/university diploma or comparable) in mathematics with a focus on the theory of dynamical systems or similar area
  • Solid knowledge of analysis, functional analysis and probability theory
  • Strong interest in climate modeling and oceanography
  • Applicants should be proficient in English, have very good academic writing skills, and enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary team and environment
