About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical leader to join our team at Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH - C92 as a Principal Engineer. As a Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in establishing technical standards and driving Amazon's overall technical architecture, engineering practices, and engineering methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams and individuals
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical architecture and engineering methodologies
  • Design and build high-quality, architecturally sound systems that meet business needs
  • Think globally when building systems, ensuring scalability and performance

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Experience in professional software development
  • Experience designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment (Service Oriented Architecture)
