As the Lead of Global Transaction Centre Controlling Team, you will collaborate with the Global Controlling (ExH and BPs) as well as different functions in the Global Transaction Centre (AP, AR, GL, etc.) to ensure efficient transactional processes. You will lead a diverse team of controllers, focusing on operational, planning and investment controlling topics.

Responsibilities:

  • As the Team Lead for Global Transaction Centre Controlling, you will inspire, lead, and empower a diverse team of Associates, Seniors, and Team Coordinators to achieve their potential in a trustful and collaborative environment. You will conduct disciplinary management activities, ensure proper staffing, hiring, and onboarding to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize controlling practices and reports across regions is a key focus. Deep understanding of state-of-the-art controlling practices, including tools (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, etc.), systems (SAP CO, R3, and S4 HANA), and smart solutions. You will provide the framework for daily operations, aligning them with the company strategy and driving standardization and digitalization.
  • You will oversee the transactional activities of actual, budgeting, and forecasting controlling processes including actual closing of cost centers, intercompany chargings, investments, functional costs, plan vs. actual cost center reports, material ledger closing, work-in-progress (WIP), and so on. A keen eye for detail and proactivity in identifying any inconsistency in controlling activities by means of taking ownership of resolving them promptly is essential.
  • Clear and timely communication on all issues, both internal and external, is imperative. Additionally, fostering cross-functional collaboration and an efficient information flow between Global Functions, Global Transaction Center (GTC), and Business Units will be part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Academic degree in controlling, accounting, finance or similar.
  • Several years of experience in the field of controlling, particularly in an international environment such as a shared service center, along with proven leadership experience.
  • Deep knowledge of controlling processes and practices, including best-in-class tools and systems. A good knowledge of financial statements, especially Profit & Loss statement, is preferable.
  • Experience in management accounting, monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing of cost centers, planning, forecasting, investment planning, etc.
  • Excellent people management skills along with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex controlling/financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Fluency in English is required. German would be an asset.
