Investment Analyst Internship Opportunity

Vorwerk Ventures is an independent venture capital firm focused on backing early-stage startups that drive positive impact for people and planet. With over €400m under management, we focus on promising opportunities across Europe within our clearly defined focus areas: Consumer, Food, Health, and Climate.

As a curious and driven intern, you will get involved across all investment activities, including deal sourcing, venture analysis, and deep dives. You will assess investment opportunities by analyzing data and challenging business assumptions, run market research, and conduct due diligence calls.

We are looking for a passionate and analytical individual with a strong understanding of the start-up ecosystem and a solid grasp of financial models. You will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a deal process, expand your network of investors and founders, and work with a diverse and supportive team of investment professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scouting outstanding founders and deal opportunities on relevant sources
  • Evaluating incoming deal flow and identifying most promising ventures
  • Assessing investment opportunities by analyzing data and challenging business assumptions
  • Running market research and conducting due diligence calls
  • Constructing investment memos for internal investment committee and facilitating deal discussions

Requirements include:

  • Currently enrolled or recently completed BSc / MSc at a top-tier university in Business, Economics or Engineering - ideally in gap year
  • International work or study experience - fluent in German or English, additional language a plus
  • Previous work experience in management consulting, investment banking or the tech / start-up ecosystem
  • Passionate for trends in tech and new business ideas
  • Curious self-starter with a hands-on mentality and an open mindset
  • Solid analytical skills to assess complex financial models
  • High communication skills to clearly explain and discuss business ideas
  • Good technical understanding for tech products
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Valid working visa for Germany
