Job Title: Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Teams and drive innovation in the developer experience. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing 1-3 platform teams, working closely with product teams, and advancing our platform infrastructure.

About the Role

This is an entry position in our Engineering Management Career Path and a possible follow-up position for Senior Engineers who want to move into Management. The role reports to the Head of Developer Experience & Platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage 1-3 platform teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products while balancing time, budget, and quality.
  • Advance your team members' skills and careers, inspiring them through purpose and creating a positive work environment.
  • Leverage new technologies within our platform teams to improve the developer experience of our product teams.
  • Develop, monitor, and own relevant KPIs for your teams, including cost, SLAs, SLIs, and other metrics.
  • Contribute to our guidelines, policies, standards, and best practices to improve how we work.
Requirements
  • A background in a platform or architecture team, with a focus on enhancing developer experience and empowering product teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with product teams.
  • Previous experience managing product or platform teams, with a results-oriented approach and a focus on delivering top-notch solutions.
  • Robust problem-solving skills, complemented by a proactive attitude and a passion for software excellence.
  • Several years of hands-on engineering experience with Go, with a deep understanding of cloud and infrastructure resources.
