As a Procurement Team Lead at Volocopter GmbH, you will be responsible for leading a growing team of direct buyers at two locations. You will report directly to the Head of Procurement and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our mission of bringing urban air mobility to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members to establish procurement excellence
  • Develop commodity strategies for direct material procurement
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to find technical solutions and negotiate contracts with suppliers
  • Run and evaluate RFI/RFQs, negotiate contracts, and ensure contract management
  • SOURCE FLYING MATERIAL WITHIN YOUR COMMODITY AND LEAD NEGOTIATIONS WITH YOUR TEAM, WHILE DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING RELATIONSHIPS WITH EXISTING SUPPLIERS
  • Implement processes, methods, and tools to deliver continuous cost improvements
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience in procurement or supplier management with focus on direct procurement, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Solid track record in commodity strategy implementation, contract management, and process development
  • Pioneering spirit, collaboration, and cross-functional/cross-cultural work experience
  • Master's degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or similar
  • Good command of MS-Office and ERP, preferably MS Dynamics 365 Business Central - Navision ERP
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, as well as German language skills
