Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Lead Electrical Engineer (m|w|d) medium-voltage power converters to join our team at the Heidenheim location. This is a suitable opportunity for jobsharing (part-time).

Your Responsibilities

  • As part of global hydropower plant projects, you will be responsible for the implementation of electrotechnical systems, working closely with the generator engineering department.
  • You will design converter solutions and optimize them to meet the requirements of the project.
  • Your main tasks will include handling start-up and direct converters as well as DFIM excitation systems for power plant projects, including the engineering of auxiliary systems.
  • You will also be responsible for checking, clarifying interfaces, and integrating the detailed and component engineering of system suppliers and planning offices into the overall planning of the power plant.
  • You will monitor cost budgets and deadlines, supporting Purchasing in specifying systems and Sales in preparing quotations and negotiations with customers.
  • You will be involved in factory acceptance tests at suppliers, customer meetings, and on-site meetings worldwide.

Your Profile

  • You have successfully completed a degree in electrical or power engineering.
  • You already have specialist knowledge of higher power and voltage inverter technology.
  • Experience in handling complex technical systems and installations is desirable.
  • You are business fluent in written and spoken German and English, with further foreign language skills being advantageous.
  • You are looking forward to intercultural cooperation in an internationally oriented company.
