Electrical Line Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Line Specialist to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As an Electrical Line Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and laying out electrical lines, circuits, and systems, ensuring their safe and proper operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lay out electrical lines, circuits, and systems
  • Install, modify, and repair distribution panels, boxes, fixtures, apparatus, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical devices
  • Use trade tools such as test meters, test lamps, voltmeters, wattmeters, and ohmmeters to troubleshoot equipment or cable systems
  • Check condition of transformers, switches, and cable, and test insulating oil of transformers and oil switches for breakdown and contamination
  • Drive a government vehicle in performance of duties, observing safety and traffic regulations
Requirements:
  • Completed vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade
  • 5 years of specialized experience, or 8 years of experience with 3 years at the wage group 5 or equivalent level
  • Valid driver's license class B
  • English Level A1 and German Language Proficiency Level B2
