Software Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Station Software & System Engineer to join our international team in Darmstadt, Germany.
About the RoleAs a Ground Station Software & System Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the software activities of ground segment developments in Software and Monitoring and Control (M&C) related to the ground stations.
Key Responsibilities- Follow up of the detailed design, development activities, integration and testing during Phase C/D of the future ground segments in the areas of ground stations software and M&C systems.
- The testing and validation of new software and databases releases.
- The maintenance of ground stations automated procedures and related databases.
- The remote operation and the maintenance of EUMETSAT Ground Stations in the areas of:
- Software systems.
- Transfer protocol for the spacecraft telemetry, telecommand and mission data.
- University Degree or equivalent in computer science, aerospace engineering or a relevant field.
- At least 4 years proven experience in ground segment engineering on a system software level preferably on ground stations monitoring and control.
- Experience in Monitoring & Control software application maintenance and configuration.
- Experience in Linux/Windows operating system.
- Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
