About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and outstanding researcher to join our team at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Security and Trust (SnT) within the Signal Processing and Communications (SigCom) research group. The successful candidate will be working on experimental test and validation of 5G/6G non-terrestrial networks and satellite communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on future communications networks topics, including non-terrestrial networks, multicast and broadcast services, and experimental emulators.
  • Set up real-world testing using emulators, software-defined radios, drones, and satellites to validate research outcomes.
  • Disseminate results through scientific publications and conferences.
  • Contribute to research proposals and project deliverables.
  • Supervise PhD students.
Requirements
  • PhD in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with a focus on wireless communications.
  • Good understanding of 3GPP 5G radio access and/or core network protocols.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including MATLAB, C/C++, and Python.
  • Working knowledge of OpenAirInterface and other open-source software frameworks.
  • Experience with industrial projects or publicly funded research projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
