Research Position in Applied Microeconomics and Behavioral Economics

The Quantitative Methods in Economics Group at the RPTU is seeking a highly motivated researcher to contribute to our research projects in applied microeconomics and behavioral economics. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of topics, including education, health, and labor markets, using cutting-edge empirical methods.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Participate in research projects, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Develop and implement new research ideas and methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and conduct studies.
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences.
  • Prepare and publish research papers in top-tier academic journals.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in economics, statistics, or a related field, or close to submitting the dissertation.
  • Strong background in microeconometrics, statistics, and data analysis.
  • Excellent programming skills in Stata, R, or Python.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English or German.
