FLOCERT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Certification Analyst Europe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering the Fairtrade certification and audits of companies in assigned countries.
Key Responsibilities- Client Management
- Act as account manager for assigned customers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely communication.
- Perform evaluations of audit reports against Fairtrade trade standards, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations.
- Conduct Fairtrade audits of customers in assigned countries, ensuring compliance with Fairtrade standards.
- Communicate actively with certified customers, providing guidance and support on trade certification-related questions.
- Instruct customers on Fairtrade requirements, ensuring they understand the certification process.
- New Client Acquisition
- Manage the application process of new customers in the assigned region and languages, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Communicate actively with applicants, providing information and support on trade certification-related questions.
- Support the team in communicating with existing customers, performing administrative tasks related to new clients.
- Contribute to quality improvement of the FLOCERT processes, especially the application process for Fairtrade certification.
- Distribute new customers to analysts once permission to trade has been sent out.
- Team Collaboration
- Participate in projects as a team member, contributing to the development of new processes and procedures.
- Assist in the selection, evaluation, and training of auditors, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Assist in constant improvement of certification processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations.
- University-level education (B.A. or equivalent) in a relevant subject (business, agronomy, economics, food science, etc.).
- At least 2 years of related professional work experience in an office and customer-oriented environment.
- Work experience of more than 1 year in certification and/or coordination in the following fields: Fairtrade certification, organic certification, social accountability certification/auditing, economic auditing, verification, relevant supply chains, sustainability, food processing, and/or any other relevant business.
- Fluency in English and French language (verbal and written).
- Strong dedication towards customer service.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with different cultures.
- Very good MS Office skills.
- Flexible, pro-active, and hard-working work style.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Motivation for Fairtrade.
- Additional fluent language skills (verbal and written) in German, Spanish, Italian, and/or Dutch would be an advantage.
- Experience with customer relationship management tools is an asset.
- Business experience in international trade would be supportive.
- Work experience in food processing industry is considered advantageous.
- Work experience with clients in the region and knowledge on the Fairtrade trade standard would be a nice-to-have.
