About the Role

Freigeist Capital is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team as a Technical Venture Capital Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the venture capital industry, working closely with our investment managers and partners to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the investment decision-making process, including market and competition analysis, and initial validation of technologies and companies.
  • Conduct in-depth research into potential technological investment fields, including interviews with founders and experts to gain market and technical knowledge.
  • Support our portfolio companies, including technical and product roadmap development, and sparring with technical founders and our CTO on technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and evaluate investment opportunities, and provide recommendations for potential investments.
Requirements
  • At least four completed semesters of a technical university degree, such as Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, Physics, or a related field, with excellent grades from a leading university.
  • Relevant internship experience, preferably in a startup or technology environment.
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies and the startup ecosystem.
  • Sociable, hands-on, pragmatic, solution-oriented, and open-minded.
  • Strong ownership skills and drive to push projects forward.
  • Fluent in English and German.
