About the Role
Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a visually appealing store environment, and supporting the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to consumer inquiries, demonstrating products, and making recommendations to meet customer needs.
- Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety.
- Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately, including handling returns, exchanges, and loyalty program enrollments.
- Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, and processing incoming and outgoing product flow.
Requirements
- No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
- 2 (or less) years of experience in a retail or customer-facing role.
- Ability to operate a Point of Sales (POS) system and other in-store computerized systems.
Working Conditions
- Frequently work in a fast-paced, active environment that requires constant movement and may involve physical or strenuous activities.
- Occasionally work in a standing position for extended periods.
- Ability to clearly communicate with colleagues and customers.
- Availability to work a flexible, often changing retail schedule to support business needs.
