Renewable Energy Balancing Manager

BASF Renewable Energy GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Balancing Zone Manager. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of our company by managing daily balancing group operations, conducting plausibility checks, and scheduling interventions for the German, Belgian, and Dutch balancing groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surveillance of data exchange processes with partners and the Energy Data Management system according to MaBiS.
  • Reconciliation and validation across systems.
  • Coordination with exchanges, trading partners, grid operators, and banks.

Requirements:

  • Completed commercial training and/or corresponding studies, as well as professional experience in the energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of balancing processes and energy markets in general, with a focus on Germany and additional countries a plus.
  • Good knowledge of scheduling & nomination systems like Kisters.
  • Knowledge of market communication towards TSO (MaBiS).
  • Confident handling of common MS Office products, especially Excel.
  • Structured, independent, and efficient work style, with a high-quality standard for your work.
