Senior Mining Projects Leader

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Mining Projects Leader to join our dynamic team at ABB. This exciting opportunity will see you lead the project team and drive success in the mining sector.

This position is a key contributor to the Process Automation - Process Industries division at our Cottbus site, focusing on innovative drive and automation solutions for engineering companies in the mining industry.

• Project Leadership: Lead and motivate the project team, establishing a clear project approach, planning, monitoring, and controlling internal and external resources to achieve all project objectives.
• Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress, resource utilization, and financial aspects while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
• Electrical Project Management: Oversee electrical projects for mining conveyor systems and equipment, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of requirements.
• Contract Closure: Coordinate formal acceptance of the project and contract closure with the customer according to contractual agreements.

We are looking for an experienced professional in project management methods and drive and automation technology for conveyor systems and equipment in the mining industry. Your ideal profile includes:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or automation technology.
• Multiple years of experience in project development and successful project management.
• Strong communication skills and technical-commercial sense of responsibility.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Will to travel occasionally (also internationally) for project acceptance and progress on-site.

The Process Industries Division serves various industries including mining, minerals processing, metals, cement, pulp and paper, battery manufacturing, and food and beverage, along with their associated service industries.

We offer an attractive compensation package including a salary range of approximately $100,000-$140,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus benefits such as bicycle leasing, sabbaticals, home office policies, the ABB children's vacation camp, and family care services.
