Manufacturing Equipment Specialist

Are you a skilled engineer looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in equipment acquisition and development? We're seeking a talented Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to join our dynamic team at designface GmbH.
About the RoleAs a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for managing equipment acquisition and development activities within our Industrial Engineering team. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement production equipment and processes, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the equipment acquisition and development process, from design concepts to commissioning and handover.
- Assure manufacturability of planned machinery and coordinate with stakeholders during the development process.
- Buy-off and commission production equipment, ensuring it meets our quality and delivery targets.
- Drive the implementation of key processes, from equipment and material selection to optimized volume production.
- Provide guidance and suggestions for manufacturing technologies and concepts.
- Implement and manage production equipment and processes to enable global scaling of our organization.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering colleagues to develop process capability for associated components.
- Drive technical and process-based improvement projects, analyzing existing processes to secure quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Engage in a global network for technology acquisition, new product designs, and modern production system solutions.
- Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial engineering degree.
- 2-4 years of experience in equipment acquisition for assembly lines, ideally in automotive and/or aircraft assembly environments.
- Experience in writing specifications for low-volume and high-volume assembly equipment.
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and IBM Maximo.
- Experience in ramping up assembly lines from prototyping to serial production.
- Knowledge of PFMEA and MFMEA.
- Excellent analytical capabilities, with a drive to challenge the status quo and excellent communication skills.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Experience in DFM and fluent English language skills, with German a plus.
