About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Controlling to join our Finance team at The Stepstone Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping our financial strategy to drive business performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the German Sales and Customer Service Management team, managing the P/L with a focus on contribution margins.
  • Develop and implement forecasting and reporting processes to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the operational controlling of sales and service departments, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Lead a team of experts in business controlling and financial reporting, promoting high performance and continued professional development.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of experience in operational controlling, with a strong emphasis on Sales and Service organizations and/or commercially focused Finance organizations.
  • Excellent understanding of local GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, with strong involvement in revenue recognition principles.
  • Strong business acumen, with a good understanding of sales processes and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
