Laboratory Testing Manager

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in executing and evaluating physical material, component, and finished good tests. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating test results into recommendations for material, component, and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development
- Support the development and implementation of new test methodologies and equipment
- Continuously improve existing testing methodologies and equipment
- Collaborate with the standards team to define standards for new test methodologies and equipment
Lab Testing
- Manage testing requests from various business partners
- Execute physical material, component, and finished good tests within given timelines and according to the latest testing standards
- Evaluate, track, and analyze test results, and write reports, summaries, and presentations
- Communicate test results and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure proper data management in respective systems
- Plan and coordinate Round Robin Tests
- Handle sample processing from request to storage
Diverse
- Support device purchasing and maintenance
- Maintain testing facilities and equipment
- Train and coach colleagues on lab testing-related topics
- Consult with external labs and equipment suppliers
Key Relationships:
- Advanced Creation Testing & Quality (horizontal teams) and other Advanced Creation functions
- Innovation Team and Athlete Services
- Product Operations and Business Units
- External labs and key equipment suppliers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of testing standards and processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English
Requisite Education and Experience:
- 4-year College/University degree in Engineering or relevant field
- First practical experience in research centers or associated fields preferred
- Alternatively: 3.5-year apprenticeship as Textile Laboratory Assistant (Textillaborant), Shoemaker, or relevant field with min. 3 years of relevant work experience
