Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at Robert Bosch GmbH to work on the development of 5G/6G radio localization methods for autonomous vehicles. The successful candidate will conduct in-depth research on radio-based positioning methods, develop algorithms for positioning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop intelligent sensor solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on radio-based positioning methods for autonomous vehicles
- Develop algorithms for positioning, including channel state information
- Develop simulations and/or prototype implementations to investigate the feasibility of radio-based positioning methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop intelligent sensor solutions
- Contribute to standardization efforts in the field of radio-based localization
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences
Requirements:
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics
- Strong background in communication systems, including waveforms, channel estimation, and synchronization
- Practical skills in simulation, structured software development, and Software-Defined Radio implementations
- Self-motivated and team-oriented individual with high level of commitment and initiative
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus
