Infrastructure Security Engineer

Your Key Responsibilities- Enhance Security Infrastructure: Continuously improve our security infrastructure by implementing AWS best practices and utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Implement Security Measures: Establish and manage security protocols, tools, and technologies to safeguard our systems and sensitive data.
- Conduct Security Assessments: Regularly perform security evaluations and vulnerability assessments, ensuring prompt resolution of identified issues.
- Collaborate with DevOps: Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate security measures into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Database Security Management: Secure and oversee our PostgresSQL and Redis databases, following established security best practices.
- Support Development Teams: Provide assistance for infrastructure requirements, particularly in relation to security for development teams.
- Develop Security Policies: Create and enforce comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
- Monitor Security Incidents: Track and respond to security incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement preventative strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with a diverse Platform squad to bolster our overall security posture.
- Networking and Administration Expertise: Proven experience in computer networking, Linux administration, and cybersecurity methodologies.
- Scripting Proficiency: Skilled in shell scripting and at least one programming language such as Python, Ruby, or Go.
- Understanding of Security Concepts: Strong grasp of load balancing, high availability, and their security implications.
- Knowledge of Best Practices: Extensive familiarity with security best practices and data privacy regulations.
- AWS Experience: Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services and knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Containerization Knowledge: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in secure production settings.
- CI/CD Security: Solid understanding of CI/CD environments, role-based access controls, and secure deployment pipelines.
- Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
