Project Controls Manager

Are you a seasoned project manager with a proven track record of successfully influencing project teams? We're looking for a skilled Project Controls Manager to join our team at LyondellBasell.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain project estimating, scheduling, cost, and risk management processes that meet the quality and technical requirements of LyondellBasell's Project Management Process (PMP).
- Manage project controls disciplines to provide all data related to HSE, cost, and schedule performance to the project manager and project sponsor.
- Develop and review schedules, estimates, and risk registers included in the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
- Ensure maintenance of estimating, cost, and scheduling processes and tools of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, aligning with LyondellBasell requirements.
- Review cost estimates, schedules, man-hour budgets, scope changes, cost trends, and budget revisions produced by contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Develop and review the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), working with project teams and contractors to ensure compliance with WBS, CBS, and work packaging requirements.
- Analyze project controls data to proactively identify problems and propose solutions, serving as a member of the Project Leadership Team and advising project managers on controls-related matters.
- Ensure all project controls data is collected and captured in the appropriate LyondellBasell systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or substantial relevant work experience.
- Membership or certification from a project management profession (PMP) is desirable.
- 15+ years of Project Controls experience, preferably in the petrochemical or refining industry, with functional experience in cost control, planning/scheduling, estimating, and risk management.
- Knowledge of contracting practices, project management practices, and financial system processes related to project management.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE), and SAP, as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated management experience or the ability to successfully influence project teams.
- Ability to surface conflicts and resolve them effectively, with the ability to push back on leadership when required to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within project teams, site organizations, and corporate departments.
- International project controls experience is a plus.
- English is required, and knowledge of other languages (such as Dutch or German) is desirable.
