About the Role

The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project estimating, scheduling, cost, and risk management processes that meet the quality and technical requirements of LyondellBasell's Project Management Process (PMP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Function in a Project Controls Manager (PCM) role on one or more large projects, responsible for establishing and maintaining project estimating, scheduling, cost, and risk management processes that meet the quality and technical requirements of LyondellBasell's Project Management Process (PMP) and applicable Project Controls Guidelines (PEWP).
  • Prepare the Project Controls Plan based on the scope and execution strategy for each project, develop/review schedules, estimates, and risk registers included in the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Ensure maintenance (including review and audit) of the estimating, cost, and scheduling processes and tools of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, align with LyondellBasell requirements.
  • Ensure that the cost estimates, schedules, man-hour budgets, scope changes, cost trends, and budget revisions produced by contractors, subcontractors, and vendors are reviewed appropriately.
  • Develop/review the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), work with the project teams and contractors to ensure compliance with WBS, CBS, and work packaging requirements through appropriate segregation and coding.
  • Analyze project controls data to proactively identify problems and propose solutions, member of Project Leadership Team advising and counseling Project Managers on controls-related matters, serve as the liaison between the project team and GP Project Controls organization, and assist in benchmarking (internal and external) efforts.
  • Ensure that all project controls data is collected and captured in the appropriate LyondellBasell systems (PIMS).
