Derivatives Trading Operations Specialist

Your Area of Work

Eurex Derivatives Market relies on stable and reliable trading services to ensure fair and orderly trading. As a key department, Trading Operations has close contact with external and internal stakeholders, including Trading Clients, Key Account Management, Product Development, Trading Design, and Clearing.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor derivatives market activity using the Eurex T7 trading system and supervise Eurex members.
  • Execute operational tasks, such as market opening, processing volatility interruptions, evaluating mistrade claims, and maintaining pricing parameters.
  • Provide customer service for functional and trading-related requests via phone and email.
  • Determine daily and final settlement prices for futures products traded at Eurex.
  • Theoretically price options and futures using internal pricing systems or vendor systems like Bloomberg and Reuters.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and external projects, such as system development, automation initiatives, quality assurance, and development of new markets and asset classes.

Your Profile

  • You have completed a university degree in finance or a comparable education.
  • You have several years of relevant professional experience in Operations or a trading-related environment.
  • You have a solid knowledge of cash and derivatives markets, in-depth understanding of derivatives pricing models, and proficiency in valuation techniques.
  • You possess creative and analytical problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work diligently under pressure.
  • You are a self-motivated and strong team player able to work in a fast-paced trading environment in various shifts.
  • Experience in communication with demanding customers in the financial industry is desirable.
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English and German.
