We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Isotope Chemistry Group Leader to lead our Isotope Chemistry team at Nuvisan GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the overall direction and strategy of the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality radiolabeled APIs and preclinical formulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Isotope Chemistry team, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, efficiency, and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
- Provide scientific expertise and advice to clients on isotope chemistry-related matters.
- Assume responsibility for the planning, performance, and reporting of syntheses of radiolabeled APIs and preclinical formulations.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, techniques, and skills to improve processes and ensure continuous improvement.
- Author, edit, and review service estimates, reports, quality documents, and marketing materials.
- Act as Radiation Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Represent the company's scientific expertise externally, as required.
- PhD in Organic Chemistry with at least 5 years of relevant experience in medicinal chemistry and/or organic synthesis at a CRO or pharmaceutical industry setting.
- Experience in leading teams with 3-10 direct reports.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in syntheses of radiolabeled drug candidates (14C and 3H).
- Experience and qualification to act as Radiation Safety Officer.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in English and German.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, high personal initiative.
